Working close to home is a treat for a Torquay Electrician.

Impact Data Electrical have completed commerical projects all over Victoria. So when the opportunity to work in our home town of Torquay on the Fisherman’s Beach re-development arose, we undeniably jumped at the opportunity. Torquay is the birthplace to Rip Curl and Quicksilver, and as you can see from the photos, the location was a little tough to get used to.

Designed by Insite Architects and built by Behmer & Wright, it without a doubt still gives us a buzz to drive past the buildings and appreciate our contribution to what has become a favourite for both locals and visitors alike.

On this occassion, our scope of works for the project included:

  • Power and lighting, internally and externally, to the Torquay Angling Club, Torquay Marine Rescue Service, community meeting rooms, interpretive space at the upper level (uprights) and a kiosk/cafe that services the beach.
  • Temporary cabling and two temporary switchboards
  • Connection of temporary site sheds
  • Car park lighting
  • Main switchboards
  • Metered sub mains installations to each tenancy
  • Switchboards to each tenancy
  • As Built Drawings
  • Operations and Maintenance Manuals
  • And not to mention having lunch on the beach each day and enjoying the view!
